I don't know if this is Mango's first adventure outside but it is her first since living with me. She doesn't seem to know how to graze where as Waffles went right to eating clover. She is still nervous at times but I am working it with her.
It's winter with lots of snow on the ground so no outdoor adventures for a while. Their grazing seed arrived today so hopefully it will start growing soon so she can practice.
A lot can change in a month since that first picture. Like snow now! Brrrr. You captured it though, Mango looks like whoa, grass can be fun! They sure love it once they get used to it. C'mon spring! Also, for grazing you can get wheat berries at a place like Whole Foods, by the pound, and grow little wheat grass lawns. I repurpose the clear boxes that some salads come in and plant every 4 or 5 days so I can rotate them in. Then I set them in my baby enclosure and they think they are like the cool kids in Africa who graze all day for miles on end, nom nom nom. LOL! : )
Well I did this and all she does is look at the grass~ but she ate a little I cut for her. It's a start and so easy! Started some more grass for her tonight! She will have a little green jungle in her house!
