I get email newsletters from a local herp store in town. I just got their latest one and it in they said they just got in 8 Florida Oranges. The newsletter said they are redfoot and yellowfoot crosses. Has anyone seen any red/yellow crosses and are they really called Florida Oranges?

Most likely they are just orange colored Yellowfoots. I have seen very few actual crosses.

If you can get pictures, we'd be curious to see. I have a yellowfoot in with my redfoots and she just plain does not cooperate. I think Danny is right.

I have only seen 1 or 2 animals in 20+ years of living in FL that "might" actually be hybrids. I have kept RF and YF and never hatched a hybrid, or seen any breeding behavior for that matter. Douglas

I haven't seen these tortoise but I was kind of figuring they are either RF or YF but are being labeled as hybrids. Not sure if I will be able to get over to this show as its kind of far away but if I can I will try to get some pics of them if the store will let me.

I've seen a number of the supposed yellow foot/red foot crosses that were advertised as 'orange foots'. They were simply orange colored yellow foots, C. denticulata.
There is A LOT of misrepresentation in the various reptile classifieds. The sad thing is that much of it is intentional.
