Florida tortoise rescue in Homestead Florida was a fraud. A scam and I called it out back in 2015.
I alerted him that I would be warning TFO members.
Dan responded with some feeble response calling me a breeder. (?) At that time.
I've since met another member this week with a story to tell about "Dan". Much the same as my own experience. So I decided to post again.
The person who ran the Florida tortoise rescue, whom I will just call Dan, hasn't been seen here since I called him out in 2015.
I guess I'll call that verification.
Please report any individual or group that you believe is up to no good.
A quick google search shows no more Florida tortoise rescue. But it does show the exact same page layout with a California based tortoise rescue site as the address.
So, now I'm wondering if he copied and pasted....That's just speculation
The fact is that this place seems to be out of business now.
And if it is, it should be.
