Hello, I have two hatchlings and I was wondering if it would be okay to make spinach apart of their diet which currently only consists of romaine lettuce, kale, and a pellet every other day or so. I was also wondering about Timothy hay (the kind you give rabbits and guinea pigs), would they be okay eating that too? Thank you for the help!

I wouldn't. Have you read the hermanni care sheet that's pinned at the top of our Hermann's section? Under the "food" section he tells you what you should be offering your babies.

Spinach is ok once in a great while, but I wouldn't use it too often.

To be honest I forgot all about it. But thank you!

If none of these are available right now, you still need a lot more variety. Look into endive, escarole, spring mix, cilantro, squash leaves, carrot tops, organic wheat grass, collard, mustard and turnip greens, water cress, bok choy, etc... I would wean them off of romaine entirely.
