Two things wrong here. One, he should not be walkng around your house, he should have his own space that he can stay warm in. Two, that is not a big enough variety of a diet for him. The dry food if he is not eating it, soak it in water. The greens, well you need a much bigger variety of them. Check out the tortoiselibrary.org.uk for food item ideas.

Weeds and grasses too. He needs much more fiber in his diet (grass).

The reason why he shouldn't roam the house is that the floor is much cooler (heat rises), and there's too many things that can be eaten off of the floor. If you looks at the website that's been provided, you'll find MANY weeds that are edibt for your little one. It's free food! Woohoo! Welcome to the forum and I'm glad you found us!

I understand but we are just trying to help. You don't have to post pictures. No one can force you to. But if you want help I suggest you do. Good luck with your original question. :)

Ok. Foods. In my experience, store bought foods, either greens or tortoise pellets, offer too limited of a diet. Fast growing tortoises are not the equivalent of healthy tortoises. I feed wild foods. A mix of pasture grasses and broadleaf weeds. At 1-2yrs of age, the transition to a more grass heavy diet should be taking place. I still provide broadleaf weeds, just at about 20% of the food mass, with the balance being fresh grasses. While from hatchling to 1 yr. I fed a closer to 80% weed ratio. The weeds and grasses provide a better source of food stuffs than grocery greens.

My boy loves to roam the house also, he has freedom to do as he pleases, including going out into the garden.
He has his heated house, which he warms up in. He's 4 years old, so can hold his temp well as he is quite large.
He often goes out in the garden in the evening, (dark and wet) we live in the UK.
I simply feed him well, and let him decide what's best. He has soaks twice a week.ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1421092858.848894.jpg

I agree with many people here. Weeds, rose's petals and other flowers and grass are the best I find out this forum and it's been very helpful in all the areas and thanks to that my sulcata is very healthy.
I bring London inside when the weather is cold outside and he gets a bath and ears a second meal inside I front of the heater. Having him inside for couple hours help him to walk around a bit.
