Found a tort in my front yard

Your back can wait, that's for sure, russian/sulcata/tortoise. Red ears wander some distance from water, especially large egg laying females, which that big one appeared to be. A friend of mine found one girl wandering near his house, and the nearest creek/pond was five miles away. I've seen this so often, it no longer surprises me.

When I was around 11 my old neighbors called me over to there yard because they found a turtle in there pool! It was a female western pond turtle so released it at my local pond.
