We have a tortoise found in West Hills (Southern California - the Valley) area. If you are missing your pet please identify - we want to get it home ASAP.

Please do not ask me what kind it is even in private messages. The point is to find the owner and have them identify it. If you are just looking to get a tortoise this one is not up for adoption yet - trying to find the family first. It is safe where it is and after every effort to find the family has been made - only then will it be identified and be up for adoption.

Thank you for your understanding - you would want the same if we had found your tortoise.

OWNER FOUND ! ! ! !

It was another male desert tortoise. He did not have a permit on him so we had to put up signs and post ads with a lot of finger crossing.

He will get a yard check to help find the escape artists exit, and he will get a legal permit on the spot of return.

This is a happy ending
