What kinds of fruits can a red eared slider eat. Just wondering since I'm new and all.
Thanks

Things that can float that they can snatch, generally work best. (Like carrots.)

An additional source of vitamin A from veggies, can be good. But not as nearly important as their carnivorous needs.

It's more like what WILL they eat rather what CAN they eat. You can offer a wide variety of different fruits, however the ratio fruit to veggie should lean more toward the veggie side.

I would give them higher fiber and lower sugar. Water hyacinth and dandelions are very good for sliders.

Since wild RES likely don't encounter fruits often I don't recommend use of Bananas & other fruits except as rare treats
