this pass few weeks I've noticed a huge increase in our tortoise group and i love it! ^_^v Some are new and some had been owners for sometime now but still new to the forums. A lot who are new to the forums usually ended up with hatchlings. A lot are concern bout humidity so here is a link that took me hours to find today specially for the new hatchling owners out there. It help me a lot better understand my tortoise and i hope it does the same for some of you guys! Enjoy!

I actually made those for a while. Unfortunately, I needed to replace them every month in my high humidity enclosure due to the soil line molding. My torts loved it massively, but it was too much upkeep for me.

Thank you veeery much for the needed information
Very good read.
I'd seen a few photos on other threads of burrows for tortoises covered in growth of various plants covering the top and I loved the idea!
Really interested in this idea for my enclosure, seems to have worked really well according to the author's testimony.
Thank you again! :D

I do this also and I let it dry out the soil a little bit and hasn't cause me issues. Hope that helps.

I gave up on it because I also couldn't get them to come out.. ever :p

That picture's a few months old. I decided to heavily plant the area instead. The whole place is nicely overgrown, now, and I just lift a few leaves to find my babies instead of a giant mass.

Excellent read. Thank you for taking the time to find it, and for sharing it!
Humidity people! Just say no way, no thanks, to tortoise dry-like-jerky babies! Soooooo, last decade thinking. Fashion forward, hot and humid! : )
