Our family has decided to expand our tortoise family to two. We already have a 13 year old Sulcata and want to add a different species. We will not keep them in the same enclosure. I think a Greek tortoise would be great. They eat similar foods. I know the enclosure needs to have a deep barrier on the outside because Greek tortoises love to dig. Now we are on the hunt for one. PetSmart has two in an aquarium. So sad about that. How do you recommend I go about getting one? Is PetSmart a good option? We are always on a tight budget and will be spending the majority of our money on the enclosure. We live in Louisiana and are hunting for one to adopt. Any suggestions? They may be Russian Tortoises at PetSmart.

Petsmart is never the best option since you don’t know how the tort was raised. There are a lot of great breeders here on this forum :)
