I am new here, let me introduce myself.
I am Jessica from Batam, Indonesia.
I just adopted one Baby Sulcata tortoise.
Its around 7cm right now.


I haven't decided her name.
I wish I can get a recommendation from here 😁😁😁

What a cutie! You might want to pick a name that is gender neutral. It might be around 4 or 5 years before you know if it is a he or she.

I like to give my animals 'people' names. For instance a friend of mine has a horse named Jane. I had a male desert tortoise named David, and now I have a stray cat named David Two.

Just take care of your tortoise and interact with it for a couple weeks and I'm sure a name will come to you.

A name has come to my mind. Its ATLAS. 🙏🙏

And he is eating fine.

What a lovely little tortoise ! As Yvonne says, the name will come to you when you get to know the little one better.
That's what we did - waited, and one day the name Zola came into my mind - almost as though he had told me- and that was it ! One thing - remember that sulcatas grow really big, so you don't want to call him/her something babyish - like Tiddles - for example - he/she needs a name they can grow into. That's what I think, anyway.
I'm so glad you have found this forum so soon as there are some very kind and knowledgeable people here, who can help you out with any problems you have.
