My baby is from a pet store and was very dry when I got it. For about the first seven months of having it, I kept it dry (until I found TF). I have since been following the hot and humid rule. I noticed prominent growth rings. Since they are so prominent, does that mean the shell is still pyramiding?

Good, I'm hoping I can still get the tort pretty smooth despite what pyramiding has already occurred.

New growth looks good. I an see the older dry growth too. Your growth rings look pretty similar to mine. It is common to see a little asymmetry when you are combating previous pyramiding, and live in a dry climate, or have an open topped enclosure. I see nothing for you to be worried about.
