Hello,

I got my baby from the previous owner. He had treated him for shell rot as he had kept him on "too moist of a surface".

I am wondering tho, if it is treated, or if I should (re)treat it?

Also, up near his head, on the right side is a small "chip" away at his plasteron. Do I need to do anything for this? Will this heal on it's own?

Thanks!,
Brad

I would retreat it just in case. I, thankfully, haven't had shell rot problems with my tort. However, that doesn't look like it's been totally fixed. I would treat it to be safe than sorry.

I agree - some areas look suspicious although it certainly isn't anything bad. I would treat it just in case. Good luck! :)
