My wonderful tortoise, Ink is 18 (ish) years old. I got him with his beak tooth still on. Happy birthday, thank you for being my tortoise.

Well, Ink is truly 18 years old. Clearly my math was off, but I would like to think it was a typo. Ink got a nice soak and walk for his birthday. He weighs 8.2 pounds. Happy birthday to my favorite leopard tortoise in the world!

Cute. What a beautiful tortoise . you did a wonderful job. That adoption certificate looks like it came from the same online business I got my tortoise from 17 years ago. Interesting.

@Cathie G I think maybe the place we bought our tortoises from, did a nice job with the hatchlings. Your Russian is very smooth and Ink is good (for a leopard). Yay for US.

My guy is a Russian. They said he was a baby which he clearly wasn't. He was 4 or 5 so I didn't have to go through all the baby stuff. Yeah!!!! I was just desperate for a tortoise so I ordered online. That can go so wrong really easily. (When I was younger I was dumb kinda ) But in our cases it didn't wind up a sad thing.. it was really cool to see another tortoise they sold still doing good.

Sapphire had holes in the top of his shell. They covered them with something that was green. I figure he was wild caught maybe. I was aggravated with them but kept him and tried my best. He doesn't have anymore holes but his beak still needs work. I'm still glad I got specifically him. He's a fun tort.

Wow happy birthday Ink 19 years. Have you had him all that time? Aren't they a wonderful pet! You can have them for a lifetime and beyond. They are a part of our families.
