The purpose of World Turtle Day is to bring attention to and increase the knowledge of and respect for turtles and tortoises. It is also to encourage human interaction to help them to survive and thrive, to be happy and healthy! It was started by American Tortoise Rescue in Malibu, California in the year 2000. Thank you ATR founders Susan and Marshall for coming up with the idea for World Turtle Day.

Sounds like a good reason to be a member of tortoiseforum.org every day!

Hi Kathy!
The little wonders are doing very well. Good eaters, poopers. Love them lots!
I have been a little too busy with life and work and sometimes do not sign in to TFO but just read and go.
So much education and information and goodness on the little (!) tortoiseforum.org website. I love all the new people from other states and countries.
Long live our turtles and tortoises! And us. The more I eat like my tortoises, the healthier I am getting. Yay! Bee well! SWAK! : )
