I just found a knot on my Red Foot tortoise's neck. It had to recently developed or I would have noticed. He was eating this morning when I saw it and thought maybe something as stuck in his throat. I waited about an hour to check him again and it is still there. Anyone have any idea what this could be? Overlook the berry mess from his meal. He is still eating and seems perky.
I am in Port St Lucie FL if someone can recommend a reptile vet?

Thanks!!

Does it seem to move or seems attached in that spot? How long has it been growing?

I spoke to a reptile vet today and they said $500 just to see him. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to do that. I was planning on selling him. I wouldn't do that now.

Hi Tammy your reply didn't have any text in it. other than @ZEROPILOT Should I email to that?
She was just tagging me.
I didn't respond because I have no valuable information.
If it feels soft, I'd give it a while and watch it. If it feels hard, I'd do the same...Keep an eye on it for a while.
If there's no change after about a week, or if it gets larger. Or starts to leak, I'd visit my vet to check it out.

The thing is, most vets know absolutely nothing about tortoises. And very few will admit it.

I use BROWARD AVIAN AND EXOTIC in Deerfield Beach.
(From the television show)
It's 30 minutes north of me.
Probably 60 minutes south of you.
They're very good and very reasonable. I suggest seeing Dr. Pardini

I miss that show.
The wires are still hanging from the ceiling tiles in some of the rooms. Or at least they were the last time I bought in one of my Chameleons
