will grass grow in coconut choir/husk substrate?

It will go to seed and grow to around 2" then die off if not eaten or trampled on. Coir has no nutrient in it.
I found 5 partially hidden in moss, there maybe #6 right above the green plant but my phone doesn't allow me to enlarge this image any more and I just can't see that well anymore. Craig, they look amazing!!!!
