When is it time to switch our hatchling off of his pellets and on to Timothy hay?

Here is a link to a sulcata diet guide.

What pellets are you feeding? They should be a small part of a hatchlings diet. It takes a while for a sulcata to willingly eat Timothy hay or any dry hay. To make it a part of their diet, you can cut into tiny pieces, dampen the weeds you are feeding your tortoise, and then mix the tiny hay pieces in. They should stick together. I know a lot Timothy hay is very hard (stemmy?). Other hays are softer. Focus on the foods in the link I provided. I’ll link another one in a few minutes.
