I started outlining Boris' growth patterns back in early January by simply taking photos of him on the scale and carefully tracing his cute little shell. And I've had a ton of fun doing so. I'm even having a hard time convincing myself to wait more than a week to see how much he's grown (even though I weight him every 3-4 days), and I've noticed his growing pattern consists of growing much longer and then filling out; rinse and repeat. [FACE SAVOURING DELICIOUS FOOD] So I guess this post is for any hatchling owners, or owners of a sully they can still pick up for that matter, who haven't seen this 'cutout' method used. As well as for anyone who simply enjoys adorable yearling photos. *Boris will be a year old come early summerImageUploadedByTortForum1393439388.407126.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1393439411.929664.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1393439422.826903.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1393439441.812683.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1393439452.657273.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1393439467.138497.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1393439600.123517.jpg
The last cut out being from today just a few moments ago I haven't had a chance to cut it out. But you get the point

My Oscar just turned a year old this month!

I've been keeping a log as well in a scrapbook. (My fiancée makes fun of me for it) but I think it will be nice to look at in a few years when I can't pick him up anymore! ImageUploadedByTortForum1396326480.257182.jpg

Awesome! After quite a growth spurt, my yearling Sully (hatched 1/2013) is 8" and finally 1 kg ImageUploadedByTortForum1396364560.498293.jpg

Hey! No fair weighing with all the substrate on his shell! That's extra weight.

Sheesh! No cheating allowed! :p
