I couldn't find anything on this specific question here. I am considering getting a Sulcata (this applies to all species however). I already get hay for my chickens, and I am trying to save a few dollars. Does anyone use hay from bails for their Sulcatas and do you have any issues with bugs attacking them or mites? Thanks

They'll eat the softer grass hay, no problem, but hay with hard, stick-type stems is hard for them to eat.

What type of hay do you feed your chickens? Where in the country are you?
I prefer orchard grass hay or bermuda hay for tortoises. I find timothy hay to be too stemmy, but large sulcatas can certainly handle it.
