I was elated today to have received a call from a woman who claims her friend has my tortoise. I wasted no time in getting in my car and was there within 1 minute of receiving the address(Thankfully they were close) She apparently saw one of my fliers at the local market and knew that it was the same tort and it is. The man claimed that his brother found it in the street while taking his son to school and narrowly missed hitting it with their car. It seems that he had better reaction timing because another car it would seem had hit him. A little bit of the lower plastron was chipped away and a few of the scutes on top seem to have been super smoothed down. I will post pictures if you guys want. I am eagerly looking forward to changing my old signature from
Proud owner of 1 sulcata tortoise(The Boulder) and 1 bearded dragon(Zelda)
And one sad owner missing his other sulcata Bowser
to Proud owner of 2 sulcata tortoise(Bowser and The Boulder) and 1 bearded dragon(Zelda)

That is just too cool! Glad he made it home safely to you! I'm sure he has plenty of stories for your other sulcata lol.

ALL RIGHT!!!!! So glad you got him back and never fully gave up on him. Goes to show sometimes it takes time to get a pet reunited and back home again. Sorry he is worse for the wear, but hopefully nothing is serious.

Here are his/her pictures. While we are at it can anyone determine the sex?

Edit: Pictures don't seem to be loading

Trying again.
So the pictures are on the attachment but not showing up after I erased the duplicates. Odd

Alright round 3 or 4 of picture posting via the iPhone all

Thanks for all the happy replies, I am so thankful that someone had found an apparent "her" and took such good care of her and was willing to part with her, many people that find animals aren't so accommodating. I am still 100% befuddled as to how she got out of the day area that I had created. I went berserk with zip ties on the chicken wire and connected every gap to the wooden frame and I plan to add weights around the edges as well.

I'm so happy for you that you got her back. You may want to check for tunnels that she may have dug down into. That's the way many get out of their enclosures.

Congrats!! She is a lucky girl! :) do you have a cover on her day-time pen? Do you think and animal got her?

Yes I do. This is a picture of the daytime pen outside where they spend majority of their time assuming it is warm enough. There is chicken wire over the top. As to how she got out I still cannot figure that out. The wire wasn't bent as if an animal like a dog had disturbed it.

Yay! So happy for you! When Levi went missing for a few days I think everyone thought I was nuts when I made flyers but decided to humor me :D it was a moot point though bc my aunt and mt Dad found him in the garden
