Head Lesion - Any Ideas?

One of our male sulcatas seems to have developed an oval shaped head lesion. (Please see attached image). I first noticed it about a month ago when a patch of skin that was covering the now bare spot fell away. (It fell off when I lightly rubbed his head). It hasn't changed noticeably since then.

I'm concerned that this could be a fungal infection, a common phenomenon here in Florida. Has anyone else seen anything similar and could you perhaps suggest what this may be before I take him to our local exotic specialist? @sibi and I would both appreciate it!

I don't see anything. All the scales look symmetrical on both sides. You can always rub in some anti-fungal cream. It won't hurt anything even if there's no fungus involved.
