My box turtle hasn't eaten in 5 days. Is she OK? She's older, a rescue, comi g out to bask everyday bit not eating..she normally would eat daily or every other day.

My box turtle hasn't eaten in 5 days. Is she OK? She's older, a rescue, comi g out to bask everyday bit not eating..she normally would eat daily or every other day.

I wouldn't be too concerned.Has anything in her environment changed, or any changes in behavior?

Box turtles are usually brumating in nature this time of year(depending on species of course) she could be sensing the changes in barometric pressure and reacting to it.

Slowing down, and becoming less inactive are signs of that, but if you don't notice any major health changes I wouldn't be too concerned.
