heat lamp??

hey guys! thanx for the replies about a tortoise table.. but.. this morning when i got home my heat lamp blew out!!! i have a uvb light on him but im wondering if a 100w heat lamp is too much for him? hes in a 20 gal long and right now thats the only bulb i have until i can go to the store later 2night ... sooo.. is this ok? is this too much? do i need something lower?? HeLp!!!

If its a 20 gallon aquariam, than yes I think a 100 watt bulb is too much. I'm not familiar with a "20 gal long"! I think that if you can get to the store tonight and get the proper bulb, that is safer than potentially cooking your tort. I do use the ReptiSun 100w but have a 3'x4' tortoise table, so there are always cool spots.

i went and got a 50w! im in the process of trying to make a tortoise table.. me with power tools.. haha should b interesting
