My name is MicKenzie, I live in the pacific northwest, good ol' rainy Washington to be more specific!

I currently have a russian tortoise named Watson. I got him this last winter with his brother, Sherlock, from my friend who rescued them from some other person. Needless to say I've no clue his age. Soon after getting both turtles Sherlock got pnemonia and died shortly after, you'd think it was a 1900's epidemic over here =( Watson has since not fallen ill, though the last 2 months he seems to be more and more anxious and just not happy which has me very worried. Hence finding and joining this lovely forum! kbye.

Hi MicKenzie:

Welcome to the Tortoise Forum!!

It might have something to do with your rainy climate. Try to keep the tortoises as dry as possible. Maybe a de-humidifier in their room might be the answer.

Welcome! We have quite a few from that area.

I live in the also very rainy North East.
