My name is Carl Livingston. I live in central New Jersey. I have always loved Tortoises and Turtles. I have two babby red-eared sliders and am looking to get a tortoise. I dont have a lot of money, mainly because I have a summer job that pays minimum wage and am saving for collage.

If you are trying to save for college, a tortoise may not be the pet for you. I would say that my care is definitely in the "minimum" range for optimum care for a tortoise, and I quickly shelled out $500+ on my new little guy in a matter of weeks. Might be a good idea to wait until you can afford some hefty expenses like that. At any rate, nice to meet you! And I do hope that you can find a way to afford a tortoise while still providing the best care because they are definitely worth it. I've never been a huge fan of aquatic turtles but I love love love my tortoise.
