Hello guys! I would introduce my tortoise, but I don't have one yet (but I know what I want to name it). I have a few questions! What enclosure type would you recommend? What age of tortoise is good for a beginner? And finally! What type of tortoise should I get? I want one that's pretty, not shy, and not over $250!

Most tortoises will fit your budget, sulcata, russian, greek, hermann, red foot. How much space do you have?

A Russian tortoise is a good 'first tortoise.' They are pretty forgiving of beginner mistakes. This is a good article for you to read:
