Hi, I'm a single mom who finally broke down and bought my son a pet. He wanted a turtle, but I decided I would rather spend the extra money for something that doesn't bite. I also liked that he let us rub his head.

So, my son and I absolutely LOVE Ernie. We are still learning about exact proper diet and are going to make an outdoor enclosure as well so he can enjoy our desert sunshine.

What a lovely sweet animal. All tips and advice are appreciated, especially w/providing a diet that is varied and healthful, and building our new "turtle table" so he can have some more room to roam.
