I'm new to this forum. I recently, well a month ago bought a Russian tortoise. His name is Herman and I love him to death. He is such a cool guy and he loves to bury himself and push things around. He loves adventures too. Just wanted to say a hello.

I know! They really are, I think Herman loves to bury more than climb. He's very determined when he wants to get somewhere knocking over anything in his path. He also loves to bury himself under my stuffed moose.

Mine doesn't like to climb either too much. She makes trenches all around her tank some days.

Awhh thats cute! Herman loves things that are black or dark. Maybe he is part bat lol. He reminds me of watching a toddler when I watch him roam around.

Hi Dez! Welcome, I am also a new Russian Tortoise owner. I love this site!!! Herman looks big... how big is he? Maybe it's just the zoom of the photo..?

He is about the size of my hand. Maybe like 5 or 6 inches but I think he's only 1 or 2 years old.
