Our household consists of my husband, myself, our 4 year old son, 2 dogs (14yrs and 4 months), 2 cats, and now 2 Central American Painted Wood Turtles. My best friend wanted a turtle for her son, found 2 for sale, and I am now taking care of them until June! I had a box turtle for several years, but these 2 are a little different. I found this forum researching what to do with an ill turtle.

Be sure you keep the dogs and turtles separate, we hear to many sad stories of dogs and torts not mixing well.

I forgot the 2 betta fish Brutus and Cloudy! Thanks for the warm welcome. Hi Wellington, they have their own habitat away from the pups. I don't like the current set up I inherited and am hoping to build them a better habitat in the next couple of weeks. I'm still trying to get the female (I haven't named them yet) healthy and don't want to add stress by changing everything on her.
