Hey.
I have a baby box turtle. Our 3 toed box turtles breed with other 3 toed box turtles as well as easterns. I’ve waited 100 days and we found a baby hatchling. It’s been stuck in it’s shell. We’ve been helping it day by day get out of it. The turtle has a smashed shell, it’s legs can’t touch the ground properly, and the shell is stuck in the turtle’s body. The complete bottom part of the shell is gone (revealing the egg sac), but the upper part is stuck in it. The turtle barely moves. One of its eyes is stuck closed. I’m very worried. I don’t know what to do. We can’t get the piece of the shell out of the turtle. It seems to be extremely underdeveloped. Please help!
Thank you!
