this is growing out of my Tortoises pen. It's about 4 ft now. Could it be a type of Mallow and is it edible for Greek Tortoise?

I agree, and am almost certain it is a member of the mallow family.

Ok flowers finally opened and it appears to be Indian Mallow. Is it safe for my Greek to eat?
