Could I please get help identifying this plant and if it is safe for tortoises?

He already nibbled a little.

It might be a type of pepperomia, but I don't know. Let's ask @RosemaryDW

That would have been my first guess as well. There are a few types out there.

  • Common Name: Peperomia
  • Latin Name: Peperomia spp.
  • Family Name: Piperaceae
Although there is some reference to alkaloids being present in the leaves and stems of Peperomia, our research indicates that this plant is safe to feed to tortoises.

Peperomia is usually grown as a house plant.

The flower colour is cream through to white and occasionally yellow or brown.

Thank you guys. I looked up types of peperomia and this specific one is piccolo banda. Glad this is ok for them to nibble on since I just picked organically grown indoor plants that was cheap.
