Help is this setup appropriate?

Got a spotted turtle hatchling
This tub is 60 gallons
Lots of floating plants and dead leafs for cover.
Logs and stones for basking.

Is this ok? Can someone help?


Hes in this since 4 days without problems so far. The tub is on my balcony. Completely predator safe

Looks Great! Try adding some more logs so the turtle can bask. Some thing with more Area.

Are turtles sensitive re' pH? Doesn't the leaf litter make the pH drop so the water is acidic?

Does it matter to turtles?

Some turtles may prefer it slightly more acidic. Much of the U.S. has hard water, so a drop in pH isn't necessarily a bad thing. It depends on the situation.

Yes no filter currently. I change the water every 4 days my filter was to strong the little dude wasn't able to swim against it and I was worried he could drown.

Yes this is planned I read they like acidic water
