HELP on Russian tortoise shells!!!!!!

I have recently noticed white on my Russian tortoise's shell. Please help im new to this. I have pictures but i cant get them up. So if you think you can help please please please email me. Thank you!

Is the white coming in around each scute? If so, it is probably new growth. Does it look like the Russian in this pic? http://www.tortoiseforum.org/thread-69332.html

It looks like at one time...way long time ago...the tortoise suffered an injury along the lines of the new growth. What you're seeing now in those lines is healthy new growth. Not being able to see it in person, I'm only guessing, but I don't think it's anything to worry about.
