So last night a dog managed to pick up my 6 1/2 inch long sulcata for a few seconds and put 3 small teeth holes through his shell. They dont look too deep but i can deffinately see pink. What should i do about this? is there some kind of treatment, and will he be ok? im a little worried here

flush it out with peroxide then dab on a bit of neosporin. Make sure flies don't lay eggs there. I've seen dog-chewed turtles and tortoises where you could see the internal organs, and yet the animal still lived. They are amazing creatures. If you think a round of anti-biotics might be in order, see your vet.

Kevan and please try and keep the torts away from dogs or visa versa. They are the number one menace to torts. Good luck with your injured tort. I am hopeing for a full recovery.
