Help with CHE pls

Hello! Setting up my viv now. Want to get temp/humidity figured out and enclosure well planted and bioactive before I buy a hatchling. Enclosure is 36x18x18 mesh top. I’m having issues getting heat up. I bought a 65w CHE that’s sitting on mesh so I’m thinking that’s not enough wattage maybe. It seems to be only rising temp to 77 directly under CHE and temp on other side is 75. our house is 71. I’m assuming I need to go with a higher wattage CHE. What wattage would y’all think would be needed to rise the temp another 7-8 degrees or so?

Hello and welcome!
For a hatchling you’re going to need a closed chamber set up, not one with a mesh top, that size won’t last you long at all, what species is it you’re getting?🙂
