help with shell

Hi there new to the sight and looking for help or advice I have a Indian star 8 years old I've had from early December I saw a chip on his shell and was told it's a chip from old injury and will heal up in time but it's got no bigger that I noticed and no smaller any idrears no smell or distarge coming out so hoping not rod I bath twice a week and once a month good wash in tamide. And advice will be great many thanks

It may form a scar, but not likely to grow over that area since the tortoise is already an adult.

My Asian Pond Turtle chipped his shell, it looks very similar to that chip. Just a large chunk cracked right off, I saw it happen. It never healed over nor got any worse. My only regret is that we didn't name him Chip, or Frito, or Clumsy, or or or
