Firstly.. I would like you to read this post.. and give me your advice, because you all do actually on Sully's.

Then..

Update: Bullet has now become quite the pig. He eats all of his food I put in there. He is still being shy.. but I have only had him 4 days, so I know that will take him.

I need to change their Substrate (Tank and Bullet.. They ARE in different places). I am not sure what the BEST is to change it too. And also, How do you all supply the humidity? I was thinking maybe a humidifier at night? I read that someone did that for theirs at night.

Some moist substrate options are coconut fiber (you can add up to 50% play sand), organic potting soil (you can add up to 50% play sand), Cyprus mulch, or orchid bark. If you have a moist substrate, adding water as needed and mixing it up, likely you do not need a humidifier in addition to that unless you have unusually dry air. The people I know who run humidifiers either use a dry substrate or no substrate at all (such as in a shed with a wood floor). The humidity at the substrate level is what is most important, not the air. By adding water you want it moist but not wet. When you pick up a handful and squeeze it, water should not come out but it should hold shape. What is best is what works for you and your torts. It's a personal preference. Buy whatever you can get your hands on and try it out. The coconut fiber can be bought at pet stores in a brick, or much cheaper online. The others are all at home improvement stores, including if you want to use play sand (for kids sand boxes, says "Play Sand" on the bag). Look that the ingredients in Cyprus Mulch are on the bag, and it's pure. You don't want a mix of woods that could be toxic such as Cedar. You can get a humidity gauge to have an idea what is going on, but the moistness of the substrate is more abstract in my opinion that a specific measurable number.

Did you want comments on Bullet's behavior? Not sure if I understand that question... If you list specific questions it is much easier for us. Best wishes.
