After years of wanting one, I finally got my first tortoise on Saturday. He (or she) is a 5 month old Hermanns called Georgie. He is so cute!

Hi Jacqui, we looked at what would be the easiest for new tortoise owners and the best for our climate in the UK. It was between Hermanns, Horsfields, Marginated or Spur-thighed. Then I saw pictures of Hermanns and fell in love with them.
