Hi all. Looking for some advice😁
I have had my Greek tortoise Donashello now for a year. He's great! Massive enclosure, feeds and drinks well and poos well. Loves a soak and adores the garden which he has access to daily😁
His guesstimated age is 10-12 years. I don't know alot about his history, only he was adopted from a rescue place in England, was badly malnourished. The girl had him for around a year and then passed him into me😁 she never hibernated him and as far as she knows he's never been hibernated. So my big question is..do I hibernate him? I don't mind not doing it, it's not an issue, he was happy enough during the colder months here in Scotland, managed to keep him happy medium in house with heat etc he ate well, slowed a little, but he's a good lad for eating anyway. All advice appreciated, thanks in advance.

If they would brumate in the wild, then I like to brumate them in captivity too. Safely indoors under controlled conditions.
