Shellby 6lbs we've had since April in AZ outside enclosure. She's hiding from me I hope but cant find her in any if her hiding spots. Is she hibernating? Will she survive until Feb. I had planned on bringing her in if night get in 40s if I can find her.

What temperatures do you have? It's possible that she's dug right down. You may be looking for disturbed earth rather than a tortoise.

She's Russian. 80 to 90s. Getting in low 60s at night. Im concerned about watering the plants and drowning her. I haven't found any new disturbed dirt. I can only see in one burrough with flash light but she never used that one and no dirt moved.

I lightly water my enclosure when it gets in the 70s and it dries out before dark .

If she's dug down and I cant see any openings to a tunnel how do they get air?
