Well decided to follow the big guy around and noticed he seems to prefer grazing on clover....is this OK?? Seems to eat a little grass but really searches out the clover..

Thoughts

Also ordered some Mazuri..2lbs to try it out..how much would you feed to a 45lbs sulcata..

Thanks in advance..

So...clover is aok in moderation....as it is high in protein....so if you keep his diet varied he should be fine with munching some :D

I have no idea about the mazuri...I don't feed it to my guys...not that I have anything against it...just have not used it...but lots of folks here do so bet someone will give youthat info :D

I'd start with about a cup. Soak it for a few minutes and mix it up with some of his favorite greens all chopped up. You could grab some clover and sprinkle that all over it. :)

My little monster guns for clover too when he's outside. Only recently has he decided Mazuri was "acceptable" the little snob.

Bob prefers clover also. But he gets a wide variety of food so none of it is bad for him. Make sure that you feed a wide variety of food. I feed my 100 pound Sulcata 2 cups of moistened Mazuri a couple of times a week in the winter only. In the summer he grazes on grass, clover, grape leafs, Mulberry leafs, Rose of Sharon blooms and leafs, Hibiscus blooms, Hollyhock blooms, Rose petals, weeds and hay. In the winter it's a mixture of produce, hay, Mazuri and weeds. I'm sure I am forgetting something...
