Home's Hinge Back Sexing

I just got my home's hinge back in the mail today yay! I'm pretty sure it's a male from the other pictures I have seen especially a post made on this forum. But, I was hoping some of you can clarify it for me.

I'm really hoping this is a boy because I want it to stay little.

Congrats! He or she is pretty. I can't see enough of the tail to even make a guess on gender. sorry.

flip it on it's back so you can see the plastron but take the pick at the same level as the tail so we can see into the shell and it's tail. i can only guess since it's not Testudo but if the tail thing applies it's got a really small tail, so i would lean toward female at this point but im prob incorrect. need more/better pics

Based on how the anal scutes sweep back into the femorals, even at such a small size, I would say you have a young male
