Horsefield acting strange

Hi can anybody pls tell me why my 2yr old horsefield is all of a sudden running up and dwn and scratching on glass like crazy.
He is also eating more than normal,we dont hiberate her.
Just a little bit of advise would be apprieciated.

When a tortoise starts running around like that, you need to go back to the beginning and check everything. Make sure its not too hot...too cold. Re-read the care sheet and then make adjustments to the tortoise's care accordingly.

How big is your tortoise's enclosure? What are the temperatures? (basking temp, cool end, night temp)? What do you feed? Does she have water?

Russian tortoises need lots of space to roam....

Thx for all your replies, i have changed her light and that seems to have helped,the enclosure is 4ftx2ft.but it sounds like i need to make it bigger.she does have water and we feed her on veg lettece sweetcorn.

Mine did that because she new it was spring and wanted to go out to her outside enclosure. I thought maybe she might lay eggs but none so far. I would be careful feeding corn and sweet veggies they are higher in sugar which isn't good for Russians. Weeds and dark leafy greens or even mazuri is better for them.

Their appetites do tend to pick up in spring, but yours needs a much better diet. Weeds, leaves and leafy greens. Here are some suggestions:
Mulberry leaves
Grape vine leaves
Hibiscus leaves
African hibiscus leaves
Blue hibiscus leaves
Rose of Sharon leaves
Rose leaves
Geraniums
Gazanias
Lavatera
Pansies
