I think my russian needs a nail trimming. How long is too long? and if they are too long, how do I cut them?
How do you cut tortoise nails?

i don't i just give bits of slates and rocks for them to climb over and they wear down themselves. Russian do tend to have longer nails it helps them with all the digging they love to do 
ok, so it probably isn't a big deal?
My vet did my hermans nails didnt take much off though.
