How do you know if your tortoise has worms ?

Hi guys

So my tortoise (10 year old Horsefield) hasn't been eating or pooing much lately I dont know if its the weather or something worse I was browsing online and found some worming stuff that you can sprinkle on food or use whilst bathing to use before they go in hibernation. I am little worried because when I took him to the vet the nurse said he was a little skinny.

You take a stool sample to the vet and have it checked. Shouldn't cost much for a fecal exam.

I would not worm a tortoise that doesn't need to be wormed.
