How much light?

Right now I have a young Hermanns and going to build an enclosure for him I was wondering how much light does he need outside because I have a smallish tree I want to build a enclosure around but think not enough light will go through it any suggestions

They are a lot like russians and mine prefers both shade and full sun. Anyway you could trim the tree back a bit to have the best of both worlds?

I would make sure that there is a good deal of sunshine. some UVB will filter through the trees but I would make at least half of it sunny.

I have my enclosure with part of it in direct sunlight and partially shade.
