I'm currently feeding Darwin 2 moistened kibbles, twice a week. Should I be feeding him less? He's about 2.75" long but I don't have a scale to measure weight yet. If I let him have his way he could easily eat 3 kibbles.
I would probably offer it a bit more often, but I would also offer things like greens, small worms, small bugs, etc.
The goal, whether you believe in 'fast' or 'slow' growth, is to help make sure it has all the nutrients it needs for smooth, even, balanced growth- bones, muscles, nerves, scutes, everything all together. This means it needs a lot of raw materials, as well as feeling full with fiber and bulk.
Sadly, we really don't have any solid research on the BEST diet for young torts.
