He's about a year old, and I have been feeding him every other day. Will that suffice?
How often should i feed my Russian?

I like to keep food available all the time for my baby Russians. My adult has been living outside and grazes, I don't really "feed" him. When he is indoors, I feed him daily. I would consider your a baby and would have food always available, he's growing 
I think all tortoises should be fed daily. In the wild they would, unless,they chose not to.
Daily. Twice a day if he eats it all up right away in the morning. Grazing all day long in a well planted outside enclosure is best.
